Booking and attending your appointment
How do I book at a specific location?
Book online via the Carebit portal and note your preferred location and day in the booking form, or call the practice on 020 7459 4367 and Namita will arrange the appointment. If you’re unsure which location suits you best, just mention your area or nearest station and she’ll recommend the most convenient option. All five consultation clinics are covered under the same booking system.
Do I need a GP referral to attend any of these clinics?
No. You can attend any of these consultation clinics without a GP referral. If you have a GP referral letter, bring it — but it is not a prerequisite. If you have private health insurance that requires a GP referral for reimbursement, your GP can issue one and this can run in parallel with your private booking rather than delaying it.
What should I bring to my first consultation?
Any existing imaging (CT scans on a disc or via digital link, chest X-rays, MRI, PET scans), a list of current medications, your private health insurance details if applicable, and any relevant hospital letters or previous biopsy reports. If you send these ahead — by email to [email protected] — Mr Scarci will review them before your appointment, which makes the consultation significantly more efficient.
Can I have my consultation at one location and follow-ups somewhere else?
Yes. Patients regularly attend different clinic sites depending on convenience at the time. Your clinical notes travel with you. Simply specify your preferred location when booking each appointment. There is no requirement to use the same site throughout your care.
Where does surgery take place?
These five locations are outpatient consultation clinics. If surgery is recommended, the appropriate surgical hospital is discussed and confirmed at your consultation — taking into account the procedure required, your insurer’s approved facilities, and your preferences. Surgery is typically arranged at sites with full inpatient surgical facilities within the HCA Healthcare UK, Bupa, or Imperial College network.
Is there parking at all locations?
HCA Elstree has free on-site parking — the most straightforward option for patients driving. Bupa Cromwell has on-site car parking and is outside the Congestion Charge zone. Imperial Private Healthcare at Hammersmith Hospital has a Pay & Display car park on site, also outside the Congestion Charge zone. The Wellington Hospital and The London Clinic are in central/north London where nearby NCP car parks are the best option. All five locations are accessible by public transport.
